Terms of Use

Last updated: October 10, 2026

1. The service

STLGenie provides two kinds of tools. Local tools (format converters, STL viewer) run entirely in your browser: free, unlimited, and processing nothing on our servers. The AI tool (image to 3D) sends your prepared image to a third-party reconstruction engine to produce a 3D model; it includes one free model per person per day and one-time credit packs bought via PayPal. Renders produce STL and GLB downloads.

2. Your content and responsibilities

You keep all rights to the images and files you use. By using the tools, you represent that:

  • You own your images and files or have all rights and permissions needed to use them;
  • You will not use the service to create copies of protected designs, characters, products or artworks you do not have the rights to reproduce;
  • You will not use the service for anything unlawful, hateful, or harmful, and will not attempt to abuse the free tier (automation, circumvention, multiple identities);
  • For 3D printing specifically: files you generate or convert are your responsibility to check, scale and print safely — printed objects can be hazardous (choking, sharp edges, heat) and are not certified for any safety-critical use.

3. What the service does not promise

AI reconstruction from a single image is inference, not measurement. We do not promise dimensional accuracy, watertight meshes, or any particular level of detail — results are display-quality starting points that you check in your own slicer. Generated result links expire after about 24 hours, so download promptly. Format conversions are exact within what each format can store (the drop lists are on every converter page).

4. Credits and refunds

Credit packs are one-time purchases delivered to the browser token shown at checkout; credits do not expire. A generation that fails on the engine side does not consume a credit. If credits don't arrive, contact support with your transaction ID and browser token. Statutory refund rights apply where required by law.

5. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes appear in the date above. Questions: [email protected].
