Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026 · Applies to the AI image-to-3D feature and all tools on STLGenie
STLGenie turns a photo into a 3D-printable model using the TRELLIS-2 model served via fal.ai. This policy lists what you may not upload or generate, how we moderate, how to report violations, and how fast we act. It is part of our Terms of Use.
1. Prohibited content
You must not upload, generate, or distribute any of the following. Each category is prohibited on its own — listing them separately does not rank them:
- Sexual, adult, or NSFW content — pornographic or sexually explicit imagery, nudity intended to arouse, and sexualized depictions of any person;
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualized depiction of minors — we report attempts to the relevant authorities and to the model provider;
- Violence and gore — graphic depictions of torture, mutilation, death, extreme injury, or cruelty;
- Hate and harassment — content attacking people for protected characteristics, or targeting a specific person with abuse, doxxing, or humiliation;
- Non-consensual intimate imagery and deepfakes — including face swaps or 3D likenesses of real, identifiable people made without their consent, and AI-generated nude or sexual likenesses of anyone;
- Terrorism and extremist content — propaganda, recruitment material, or glorification of terrorist attacks;
- Illegal goods and instructions — models for weapons (including 3D-printed firearms and their critical parts), explosives, drugs, or other illegal goods;
- Infringing copies — protected designs, characters, or products you do not have the rights to reproduce (see our content & IP policy);
- Fraud and deception — counterfeit goods, fake identification documents, or anything built to deceive;
- Anything else unlawful under the laws that apply to you or to us.
2. How we moderate
- Policy first: the rules above are shown before and while you generate — the tool interface links to this policy next to the generate button;
- Generation logs: each generation creates a task record (token, timestamp, task id) that we can audit; we keep no copy of your image or model beyond the provider's ~24-hour result link;
- Reports and review: every report is reviewed by a human. We also spot-check generation activity and investigate anomalies (burst usage, repeat abuse of the free tier, token rotation);
- Provider enforcement: fal.ai runs its own input/output moderation on the model and suspends abusive use upstream.
3. How to report a violation
Email [email protected] with: what you saw, where (page or result link), and — if you are reporting someone else's generation — any identifying detail you have (task id, time). You will get a human reply, not an autoresponse. Reports about CSAM or imminent harm are escalated to the authorities and to fal.ai immediately.
4. What happens after a report — and how fast
- Acknowledgement: within 48 hours;
- Decision: usually within 7 business days; CSAM and credible threats are actioned immediately;
- Actions we take: block the offending generation, revoke the browser token and credits used, ban repeat offenders from the service, and preserve evidence for the authorities where the law requires it;
- No refunds for credits confiscated in enforced violations.
5. Questions
Unsure whether your use case is allowed? Ask before you generate: [email protected].
